Youth to Youth Middle School Conference

About the Conference

Where else would you want your son or daughter to be on March 3, 2012 but at the   18th annual Y2Y Conference at San Ramon Valley High School

More than 80 high school leaders from the San Ramon Valley and Castro Valley are going to be encouraging 350 middle school youth to "STAND UP and STAND OUT" at this exciting day long event.

For the past several months local high school students have been working enthusiastically planning drug prevention programs, participating in leadership activities and inspiring each other while planning this conference for your 6th, 7th or 8th grader.

High school leaders will guide their younger peers through skits, panel discussions, team building challenges, and small group activities.  An inspirational keynote speaker and more than 20 workshops will be offered throughout the day.  Lunch and Dinner are served and the conference will end with an exciting dance geared towards middle school students.  MORE THAN JUST AN EVENT, the Youth to Youth Middle Conference is a way to see the best in teens and their leadership skills.   If your kids like hanging out with their friends, meeting new friends, having fun, dancing and good food ~ then this is the conference for them. Click on the link and you will be taken directly to the registration page where you will find additional information.

A Note from our President

Windemere Ranch PTSA was organized and chartered on April 13, 2005.  Our goals are to be an active supporter and participant on the WRMS Campus by establishing the following priorities:

  • Welfare of all Windemere Ranch students
  • Parent education and involvement
  • Communication between home and school
  • Legislative voice for all children
  • Community interaction and involement with the school

WRMS PTSA generates income for our budget from PTSA membership dues, family donations, ad space sales in the student directory and the sale of spirit wear.

The Windemere Ranch PTSA plans to sponsor many programs that will benefit the students, staff and parents of the community.  In addition to our membership dues, directory advertisements, and profits from spirit wear sales, we have chosen to fund these programs through a one-time donation instead of fundraisers.  We hope you will consider making a tax-deductible donation of $35 or more to help support our PTSA goals for the coming year.

Below is a list of programs the PTSA would like to sponsor for the 2011-12 school year:

  • Academic Awards Night
  • Advocacy - Legislation
  • Assemblies
  • Falcon Account
  • Health & Safety (emergency supplies for all classrooms)
  • Heritage Night
  • Hospitality for school events
  • Ice Cream Social
  • Parent Education
  • Red Ribbon Week
  • Reading Incentive Program
  • Reflections Program
  • Registration
  • Sister School
  • Teacher Appreciation Week
  • Teacher Classroom Supplies
  • WEB Orientation

These programs are supported with the help of parent, teacher and student volunteers who dedicate their time and energy throughout the year.  We have many volunteer opportunities for the coming year and need your help in making our programs a success.  Please feel free to contact me if you are able to help out in any way.
